At Keith Garubba's professional Art Studio in Bethlehem Pennsylvania, you'll probably exceed your own expectations much more quickly than you would think.
Why do I say that?
I realized how effective my workshops are when I started to see that in a single-night paper marbling workshop, my students were leaving having made better paper designs than I was making 6 years into my marbling career.
(Either I'm a slow learner, or my students are really amazing! And . . . the system works!)
I've been marbling for 12 years and I'm still learning. And I love giving students a strong start into this medium.
I have also discovered how inspiring and supportive my workshops have been to other professional working artists. Several among my students began showing their works in commercial gallery spaces, making their own sales from artworks made in my studio.
What you might not realize is how much fun you'll have.
Take Linda, for example:
Linda's is one of dozens of 5-Star reviews for my workshops as rated on Google Business.
And hers is the exact reaction I'm looking to produce in my students. Because whether you are a professional artist already, or as unskilled as a fish in flight-school, if you are having fun you'll learn new skills faster, your curiosity will grow, and ultimately you'll be a better artist when you leave.
Some of my students are established and professional artists who are looking to add a new skill to their repertoire. These include:
Some of my students can't even draw a stick figure.
The following students looked at my camera and smiled:
I meet my students where they are on their journey. Andrea isn't a professional artist, but she does take a variety of art classes for her own personal enjoyment. Here's what she had to say:
What level are you on? I'd love to get to know you in one of my workshops, and give you the personal attention you need to grow in art.
Imagine touching a world of colors and images, expanding your capacity for amazement with every mark you make.
In my workshops, you will make something you didn't know you were capable of creating, I guarantee it. Every experience is designed to awaken your inner child through tactile discovery. You can take full advantage of my actual art studio to create your own projects.
When you sign up to take a class, your digital ticket gets you access to everything you will need for the session: full enthusiastic attention of your artist instructor Keith Garubba, all the materials necessary for the project, and an experience that is both structured and fun.

Share the joy of paper marbling with the little creative spirit in your life! This class is adapted from Keith Garubba Studio's signature Paper Marbling Experience, and is perfect for children ages 5-14.
Why share this experience with a child?
Garubba has years of experience in teaching art to children. You can trust him to lead with kindness, love, patience, and fun.
You (and your friends) deserve a fun and world-opening experience . . .
Activate your curiosity, try something new, and amaze yourself with an art experience from Keith Garubba Studios, where students frequently leave the studio barely believing what they were capable of creating.
On the day of your workshop, come find me at my Studio at the Banana Factory in the Arts District of South Side Bethlehem (unless I've sent instructions to meet elsewhere.) Wear mess-ready clothing, and if you like you can bring snacks, drinks, and anything else you might need to be comfortable.
I'll receive you at my studio, where you'll be invited to make yourself comfortable at your art station, which will be ready for your arrival with all the tools you'll need to get started.
Excuse the mess: You'll be working in my actual studio, which means there might be evidence of my own work about the space. But that's what studios are for, right?
Come ready for enthusiasm . . . I'm an enthusiastic person. For reference, think three exclamation points at the end of most sentences. That's me. If that's not for you, I give you permission to roll your eyes the whole time. I just believe when you are learning something new in art, you should always lead with joy.
I teach with the beginner in mind, but with respect for individuals who want space for their own creativity, or are ready for a challenge. I'll dig in with you if you need extra help, or I'll get out of your way if you are ready to spread your wings.
Most of my classes are experiential and process-focused. That doesn't mean you won't make incredible artworks.
You'll make something one-of-a-kind. This isn't your typical copy-the-example 'Paint and Sip' situation. You'll build skills and express your own voice.
Some of my classes might require you to leave your work at my studio to dry, or be finished. In my Paper Marbling classes, I offer a free paper flattening service, which takes a week.
When you come back to pick up your work, I think you'll surprise yourself with what you made!
I'll leave your artworks for you to pick up at the Front Desk of the Banana Factory, or make arrangements to meet you at my studio if you prefer.
I'll communicate by e-mail when your works are ready. I hope you'll stay in touch to tell me the story of what happens with your artworks next!
Art is tangible, measurable, and finite. But that feeling you get when you have created something that was inside you, that the world has never seen before? That grows without limits once you nurture it. That's what my workshops are for.
I make art to get lost in stories, patterns, and colors, and to share these worlds with others.
I teach classes because I want you to find the joy in spirited artmaking too.
With a studio in the Artsquest Banana Factory in the Southside Arts District of Bethlehem, PA, I make my art and teach my workshops in the same space. I invite you to visit me.
I believe art is an under-utilized tool in the modern human experience. I want everyone to experience art, and use it to unlock unknown parts of themselves and to access unseen parts of the world.
Art pulled me through the darkest moments of my life, and has given me a path when I felt blindly searching.
Everyone deserves that power to feel the peace and joy that art can deliver.
